Hi I'm ben. I am 9 years old and live in Halesowen in the West Midlands. 
I first started karting when a new indoor track opened in my hometown in 2010. After a few weeks of indoor karting I wanted to try outdoor karting, so my mom and dad brought me a honda cadet and took me to priory park circuit in tamworth. I realy enjoyed outdoor karting and decided I wanted to race karts professionally and eventually be as good as lewis hamilton and jenson button.

The honda cadet kart I had wasn't new enough to race so I upgraded to a Wright Comer Cadet and in march this year (2011) I took my arks test at whilton mill and passed. This was also my first time on a real kart circuit.

Since passing my test I have done 4 race meetings at Whilton Mill. I have improved every time and I am only 1.5 seconds off the front of the grid. With more practice, racing and better equipment I will be quicker!
I have just joined SWB Motorsport Academy which will start Jan next year and hopefully I can find sponsorship so I can buy better equipment and race more often.

I am looking forward to a successful years racing next year!
