The surface of your car is constantly exposed to airborne contaminants, such as brake dust, industrial fallout, road tar and bug splatters, which build up and create a textured surface that feels rough to the touch and affects the gloss shine.

To achieve the best shine its all about the preparation. Using a clay bar at least once a year removes contamination that the washing process can not and restores a smooth surface that reflects light better and creates a high gloss shine.

Deciding on which clay bar to use depends on the type and level of contamination.
Our mauve heavy clay bar is designed for removing overspray or other hard to remove contaminants and is generally used when a machine polishing process is to be followed. Before using a heavy clay bar we would recommend trying a light to medium clay bar to see if you are able to achieve a smooth surface.
Used with our high lubricity lubricant, which creates a barrier between your car's paintwork and the detailing clay, providing the necessary slick surface for your clay to glide.
